I feed my bully the raw patties. There are a number of brands to choose from and I'm seeing more and more of them pop up, but I use Nature's Variety. It's expensive, but it was even more expensive bringing Lola to the vet every other week for her allergies. She's been great ever since. Good...
This is an older post but I thought I'd share my recent experience with flea infestation. Lola and our cat, Fuzz, were infested. I tried home remedies, hollistic-type suggestions, bombed our house twice, flea combs, shaved the cat, baths, frontline, and the only thing that worked was Advantage...
Just came across this article somewhere else and was going to post it but it appears somebody beat me to it.
The article certainly gives a lot to think about. I knew what I was getting into when we got Lola (ok maybe not entirely), but the reward has been and continues to be worth the risk...
Lola has fleas. She's not infested, but she has a few bumps, and we've picked fleas off of her as well as combed out flea eggs from her coat. I really don't want to use Frontline or any of those pesticides. Does anyone have a home remedy to rid her (and the cat) of these fleas? I've tried a...
Sounds like allergies to me. Lola had the red, raw, hairless wrinkles. No black gunk though. We seem to have it under control for the time being. For us it was changing her diet, and keeping her folds dry. Powder worked temporarily but Lola is a handful when it's time for bully maintenance, so...
Haha, Lola loves plastic bottles as well. Particularly when we sit down to watch a movie or TV. She'll tear through milk cartons or soda bottles too easily. Now I give her juice bottles, like Juicy Juice, since they tend to hold up better. My favorite part about Lola playing with the plastic...
There are a lot of bulldog related t-shirts on cafepress.com. all you need to do is simply type "bulldog" in the search. They have some cool stuff and also some lame stuff, but I've gotten a couple bulldog shirts from there, so it must be cool ; )
Also, maybe try looking into Dinovite. I can't say for sure that it alone has helped Lola, but the combination we have her on now (raw meat patties, frozen veggies, dinovite, and salmon oil) has done wonders for her. She's not allergy free, but she's in much better shape these days.
Lola does. It's a habit we try to break, but she gets so damn excited to see people. Usually if people come down to her level and pet her she won't, but she can't stand not getting attention. She tends to target the people who aren't interested in giving her attention.
This post is 2 months old, but I wanted to suggest looking into Dinovite. I can't stand by it and say that it works wonders, but it's one of the things we use to try and keep Lola's allergies away. Switching her to a raw diet and giving her salmon oil are the other changes. The combination of...
Lola is super friendly. She definitely prefers people to dogs or cats. Whenever I walk her or have her outside, she'll stop and sit down if she sees a car nearby that has pulled into a driveway or parked on the side of the road. She thinks everyone is there to see her.
