HA HA.. that is so funny!.. Maggie does the same thing. Any time I leave her alone she cries and cries like that.. and if she sees a doeg she doesn't know, she'll do a hybrid of the "wookie talk" and a bark.. My co-workers swear she is talking. I have been trying to get it on video but never...
Indifferent - When I am just pushing aroud the vaccuum, Maggie just follows me around and watches. She moves out of it's way but is not afraid of it.
Hate - When I use the stick attachmenton the hose (to get all the dog fur tumbleweeds under the furniture) she goes into attack mode. It is so...
I always sing made up stuff to the dogs while I'm bathing them, it kinda distracts them I guess. I am surprised it doesn't scare them, cuz I can't carry a tune to save my life. One day I dgot the tune of Copacabana stuck in my head one day, so I started singing to Maggie while giving her a bath...
Ok, so Maggie went through her heat cycle in July. Nothing unusual; wore a diaper like a fasion model. She is definitely not pregnant.
Her boobies are saggy.. I just figured that maybe she was bred before (although I hope not, cuz she is only 2 year old)
But today, as I was giving her a belly...
So, I finally figured out how to use my web camera on my computer... snapped a few pics so y'all could see how Maggie spends her day with me at work.
Mostly like this... snoring
Sometimes she gets curious about what I am doing...
Then, it's right back to snoozing...
She has a blanket and...
I have a Maggie, too!.. and she has head tremors... scared me to death.. they lasted up to 15 minutes.
Here is what I did...
Changed her feeding schedule to...
breakfast - 1 scrambled egg, 1/4 bananna, 1/4 orange
snack (around lunchtime) - bananna
dinner - 2 cups kibble, 1 dollop yogurt, and a...
Maggie does not enjoy the bath, or the water hose wash outside, but she happily walks into the shower with me about once a week. She loves the warm water and scrubbing. She doesn't even fuss too much when it's time to wash her face. I use baby wash mostly, with the occasional hot spot shampoo...
Ugh!.. I can't bear the cold. It's gonna be in the 90's here today. Yay!
You can keep the cold,...although... It would be funny to see how Maggie and the gang react to snow sometime... maybe we'll visit some place cold this winter..
Pudge snoozing with Christal.. They used to sleep like this all the time, but I had the darndest time trying to get a pic before one of them opened their eyes to catch me spying on them... finally got this one.
Agreed 100%. I applaud you for getting involved in the welfare of a dog in need. Even if you come away with nothing more than information and advice for the owner, and do nothing more, you are to be commended.
I am near you, in Waller. I don't have the financial capability to take on a rescue, but I do have time to spare. Please feel free to ask if I can help.
Also, the closest EB rescue group is English Bulldog Rescue Network in Houston.. They do great things.. http://www.txbulldogrescue.com/
Hi everyone... just thought I'd update.. It has now been over 24 hours and Cato is just fine! Whoopee!!.. Logic told me he was in no real danger, but "mommy worry" kept whipping logic's a@@... thanks for the reassurance and advice.. I'm gonna go shine the laser pointer for the dogs now.. we need...
The recording says it is because they are a non-profit and rely on volunteers and donations.. so the $65 is to support their efforts... If I had it, I would have paid it...
When I am in better finacial position, I think I will include them in the charities we try to help.. Perhaps if they had...
Thanks. That's kinda what I figured. I called the ASPCA poison control hotline, but didn't have the $65 needed to get advice.. I called our vet and they said to make sure he has plenty of water and to just watch him for anything abnormal... so now I'm just nervously watching... right now he is...
