If its not a lump, maybe it's just his coloring or markings or pigment. Ruckus has a few dark markings on his gums, flappy jowls, and the roof of his mouth too. I never thought anything about it and the vet has never said anything.

Ruckus sleeps in some wacky positions but that's not one of them lol.

Is it just discolored, or is that a lump or a blister? If its a lump I would have the vet look at it, it could be an abscess.

Haha!! I'm sure you'll get great advice from others about the crate but I try , really hard not to use our crated for punishment. They go in and out of their crates on their own when they need their own time or space. If I'm going to be gone long I will put them in. It's kind of like their safe...
