So we are thinking of trying a vegetarian diet until we can figure out Becca's allergies. Hoping to try a mix of brown rice and a veggie mix. Then slowly introduce one protein every other month.
Can anyone help with serving size.
She gets one cup of kibble twice a day. Would half cup rice and...
Before we got Pan's allergies under control he got inter digital cysts. Now we have him on a strict diet and as part of his cleaning ritual we clean his paws with gold listerine. The antiseptic cleans out anything that may be trying to grow in there and the alcohol in it dries quickly to keep...
We got Pan when he was 4 months old, at that point he was still an active puppy, but like most babies he needed his naps. But he has always been a really chill dog. As a puppy, we took him to work with us - and most of the day you could find him laying on his bed under my desk and he would play...
Pan is a bully-dozer, I don't know how many times I have been completely taken off the ground to land flat on my back. He also went through a phase where he thought he was a bird and jumped off of the stairs and furniture while we were playing - so we catch him - well Pete catches - I act like a...
Pete wanted to get a bully when we first started dating, its all he talked about. He even had a bulldog tattoo. Well, I did all the research, looked into all the health problems, and found the breeder. I was convinced that I did NOT want a bulldog, because they had the chance of having so much...
Next week we are getting a new foster with some pretty severe issues. He has a weakened immune system and mange.
We've never dealt with either so I'm looking for some advise.
I've done some reading so I know a good diet will have a huge impact on his immune system, which will help him battle...
We battled allergies with Pan, so I know how aggravating it is.
Switch to a grain free food with limited ingredients, something that you haven't fed before, no chicken or potato.
Feed only that food for eight weeks. No treats or table scraps. If you want to give a treat just give a few pieces...
Pete has kicked Pan out of the bedroom because his snoring keeps Pan up all night. (I say it just gives me the snoring in stereo) So when Pete leaves for work in the morning he lets Pan in to snuggle with me - its my favorite part of the morning!
Our house has the original pine hardwood floors. The dogs are horrible on them. When we eventually get to the point of replacing them we will get a harder wood. You can always lay done an area rug (we have one in the living room - and it helps to keep the floor nice).
Look at those cozy babies enjoying a nice fire! I'm so jealous!
We don't have a fireplace/woodburner in the house - but Pan loves going outside and enjoying a campfire - weather permitting - fire or no fire - outside with a windchill of -15 is still a bit to cold for us!
