Our experience with Cystinuria - cystine stones

Brilliant idea about the Bullmastiff group, I will be sure to try that route. I am surprised raw is working out for you and it gives me hope, my vet immediately shot down that idea with me. She is dead set against home made too, but I feel it has to be better then RX kibble, so unsure of...

Our experience with Cystinuria - cystine stones

I have heard of a similar option actually. They shorten the urethra and widen it by making a new opening closer to the abdominal wall so that they can pass the stones rather then trapping in their natural anatomy. Sounds extreme and not sure anyone would even be willing to do something like that...

Diet for Cystine stones - low protein

Does anyone have experience with diets to prevent Cystine crystals/ stones for Cystinuria? My boy is newly diagnosed and I am researching options other then the Dr recommendation to Hills Urinary. Tucker doesn't do well with yest build up in his wrinkles either so I would like to limit...

Our experience with Cystinuria - cystine stones

Tucker is an 18mo happy male whom had always been healthy and raised on a strict diet of the most premium kibble I could find. Tucker had sudden onset of frequent peeing, blood in urine and what we and the vet thought was a bladder infection proved to be much more serious. I noticed the change...

All stages kibble or back to puppy?

Sorry for the long post guys, here it goes. I had to switch Tucker’s food as soon as he came home at 8 weeks (breeder had him on Royal Canine) and I didn’t have much time to research dog foods. I ended up switching him to an ā€œall stagesā€ Merrick grain free wild duck, I thought this was the best...

    Bicycle Pet Trailer

I am interested too, I love to ride and would love to bring Tucker along. I was thinking of searching for a really big handle bar basket that I could rig up or like a baby seat to customize... I just want him to see all the action up front.

It's official!!! Duchess getting a brother

Tuckers Breeder imported all 5 of thier dogs from Hungrey too which was a major deciding factor for me, like you I felt like a had a better shot health wise with blood lines not orginating in North America. Her adults from Hungrey were very impressive by the way, much better build then many of...

    Worst dog breed ever.....

That is actually what Tucker’s first vet said to me when I brought him in for a check up at 8 weeks old. ā€œDid you research EB before buying oneā€ she asked. I explained I did in fact and that my mom has had one for 8 years that I love to bits. ā€œworst breed ever, a complete disasterā€ she said back...

How to glue back a bully ear in Michigan.

I glued Tuckers to prevent ear infections. Odessa has had so many over the years I wanted to prevent Tucker from going through the same thing if possible. Tucker didn't like the glue and was scratching at it, after the second day I pulled it all of and let is sit all week to rest. The two days...

Does your EB act like a cat?

JAKEISGREAT Oh that is so cute. Tucker tries to play with our bunny ZhuZhu, but isn't impressed that the bunny wont tackle or chase him. I hope one day he will be happy to cuddle with ZhuZhu too, ZhuZhu would love a grooming friend like your pair.

Does your EB act like a cat?

Our little Tucker is 10 weeks old and he is such a little clown at times, but I have never seen a dog act like a cat when playing like him and wonder if it is a quirk other EB’s have too? When playing in the yard with my 9yr ds he seems to realize that he can’t catch him no matter how hard he...

so proud of our brilliant Tucker

I just wanted to share some positive behavioural and training news as bullies have such a bad rap for being stubborn and I was afraid we would end up with a Bullie that didn’t even know how to sit on command. We have had our little Tucker for 2 weeks now and he has surprised me with how smart...
