Try Curaseb Chlorhexidine Shampoo 4% formula. Has to be 4% and you have to leave it on for 10 minutes. We struggled with this for over a year, spent tons of money trying various remedies, and this solved the problem. You can get it on amazon.

Finally following up on this thread. I skipped the dermatology appointment as they were estimating the tests and scripts could run $500-1000. I switched shampoos to Curaseb Chlorhexidine 4% (had been using anti fungal and antibacterial 2% with no luck). You have to leave it on for ten minutes...

If it’s coming off in clumps with scabs I wouldn’t suspect alopecia. I tried limited ingredients and worked through a prescription elimination diet with no results. I tried anti-fungal anti-bacterial shampoo as well as curaseb. The 4% formula made the difference. She’s almost completely cleared up.
