Jackson was 80lbs about a year ago and has since lost 10lbs and is at the weight the vet said he needs to be. We feed him about 3/4 cup of kibble (Fromm) twice a day and add a little warm canned food with it. He has kept the weight off and looks great.
I love taking vacations and we rarely ever go anywhere that we can take Jackson (NYC, cruises, the caribbean, etc...). You and your husband definitely need to continue to take vacations to bond, strengthen your marriage, renew/refresh, and just have fun!
I would suggest getting a calming...
Definitely looks like a worm from the dirt. From images I've seen online, heartworms are long and thin like spaghetti. If you are worried about heartworms, maybe you should start giving him heartworm preventative medication.
We got Jackson about a month after my 29th birthday. We had been in touch with the bulldog rescue here and my husband was trying to a bully by my birthday, but we got him a tad bit later. Still, best belated birthday gift ever!
One time when we were at the dog park Jackson peed in a muddy area and then decided to do the kick back thing. He ended up kicking mud all over a lady that was standing nearby. She was so nice about it, but I was mortified!
Re: Does anybody ever experience bratty kids who insist that your bully be "put up" when he/she comes to play at your house?
I don't have kids but I will tell people in a heartbeat "Jackson lives here, you don't". If they have a problem with him they need to stay out of my house.
