We are in PA and George takes 10mg of Cetieizine (generic Zyrtec) everyday. His allergies have bothered him since he was a little guy; the Zyrtec really helps! I'm on my smart phone and I can't go back to fix the spelling but it is cetirizine.
I have pictures posted but I am not a fan of the uploader because it always tells me the pictures are too big to upload, I guess because we have a professional camera so the pixels and gigs are really big, so I just give up!
Right now, he is just limited activity until we decide what to do. The thing is he only limps when he walks. He can run laps around the fields and he is fine. He can probably run 1 mile without a struggle that's why I am wondering is it something serious?!
So George's vet office just called back and they quoted me $370-$531 for sedation and x-rays. I am flabbergasted. I thought 200-250$. And I would need to take off work at the job I do not start til the week they want to schedule it.
Thank you all for the responses so far. I hope to hear from more of you. I will be calling the vet back tomorrow to schedule the sedation and x-rays. We are the ninth day of limping thus far. I really hate to have him sedated but I know they will get the best views. I just get some nervous...
We have never been told about high impact activity such as jumping on and off of things. It makes a lot of sense but we were never told by a vet or breeder, even in the books I have read it was never discussed but the same thing for kids...they don't offer track until middle and high school and...
I have spent the day on here reading forums on limping pups and hip dysplasia. George started limping on his right, rear leg, 1 week ago Monday. We woke up and I let him out his crate and he had a funny way about his walk. So I called my husband and said he noticed the same thing when he let...
Go by the chart on the back of the dog food bag. If it states 3 cups; that 3 cups is it for the entire day; not each feeding. I would think at his age he could be a three meals and then down to two. We switched George to 2 meals a day around 7 months.
As mentioned before, a basic food from...
We give George a pumpkin cube when he gets constipated and isn't going or is straining to much to go. Once we found the right food it mostly cleared up but every now and then he will have a problem. Basically a pumpkin cube is: I take 1 can of Libbey's Pumpkin (I use libbey's because the...
Afternoon Everyone,
George is eleven months and I have sought out much information on here with his food allergies and we have been squared away since December. Well I noticed, when we go home to visit family, George always ends up with watery eyes, itching, and terribly swollen and red food...
Oh, please let us know how you and your bully make out. My bulldog George has the same thing for about 2 months. It seemed to have started as acne. We thought from drinking the Christmas tree water but the tree is gone. Make sure you are using stainless steel bowls not plastic or aluminum...
We have been using stainless steel bowls since he was a puppy, after thinking about this for a few minutes it makes more sense.
This all started a few weeks ago, and this was about the same time we put up the christmas tree. George loves to drink the water from the christmas tree bowl, but we...
We thought George had acne on his chin. Well one of the "pimples" popped and was bleeding. Well one led to another and another and another and now he has this bloody/scabbed chin. Of course he is an active boy and the scabs are constantly being pulled off. I have tried keeping triple antibiotic...
We do not feed Royal Canine. His diet since June has been Science Diet until I tried this switch to Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potato Limited Ingredient. I wanted him off of the Science Diet because the ingredients are horrible. Chicken cartilidge is listed on the bag. I don't really...
