It didn't go very well. It is a yeast infection. He gave me Tresaderm drops. The vet said Roscoe has a small mass in his ear canal as well- which is what's causing all of the waxy discharge. We're going back next Tuesday for a needle biopsy to see if we can pinpoint what exactly is going on in...
Thanks karenben! I bet that's what has happened. I just gave him a bath a few days ago and I noticed he shook one of his cotton balls out at some point because I found it in the tub. I didn't even think anything about it. Oops :ashamed:.
So while I was wiping Roscoe's face today I noticed waxy stuff caked under his ear. When I lifted his ear up I noticed he had a very thin waxy substance running out of his ear. There's so much of his his ear actually makes a...squelchy noise when I rub it. I've been wiping it out but it just...
I'm having the same worry with Roscoe. He's hardly drinking any water now. I think he's licked at it twice in the last two days.
I'm hoping it will help with his face issues. It seems like no matter what food I try his face stays red and crusty.
Thank you so much savemejeebus for all your...
Oh good! Thank you for answering so fast! I was worried the bone would really hurt him. He just ate it so fast I didn't even realize it was all gone. And I'd love to see those links! I feel like I can't learn enough about this.
And it was just a leg, not a leg quarter.
@Chad M Lane , so pork...
So I'm trying raw feeding with Roscoe and I think I may be worrying about nothing- but I have a question.
I gave him chicken leg to start with- just to see if he'd know what to do with it. Well he ate it just fine, but he also ate the bone.
Is that okay? Should I have taken the bone out?
Ohh...
Sounds like Vegas is having a naughty streak!
Roscoe got a whole pot of mac and cheese of the counter once while I was in the shower. I heard the crash and went running into the kitchen to find him covered in cheese eating as fast as he could.
I don't know how they do it, but these little guys...
:welcome:! We're all big fans of yours! You do such amazing work.
Your girls are beautiful and I hope you get lots of enjoyment from your time here at EBN. The people here are great.
I took her to the vet today and it was pink eye. Yuck! Got some medicine for her so hopefully that gets better. I'm been somewhat trying to find her a home.
I asked a few people and they said no. But I think I may just be keeping her. She's such a sweet little cuddle bug. Her and Roscoe...
I dropped Roscoe off for his birthday pampering and play day at the pet resort right up the road. When I picked him up they had bows on his ears instead of a bandanna on his neck(which they put on the boys). I told the receptionist that he was a boy and she said they must not have noticed...
thanks dozersmama. I'll make a trip to the vet Monday for some. Prolly try to get her shots done that day too. I'm such a sucker for animals. Now I'm trying to figure out just how long I could get away with hiding her. Forever?
I went and bought some food, litter, litter pan, and a collar for her. I'll hold onto her until I find her a good home. She's quite a sweet snuggle bug.
laurendoodler Since you've got some cat experience (and I have zilch) do you know anything about kittens? Her left eye won't open all the way...
I think we'll go to petco and then maybe i'll make him some sort of tasty treat. And of course try to make him wear an adorable birthday outfit until he tries to eat it.
