So sorry haven't been on computer in a couple months! Rugers face healed with little scarring, but surgery was not a success, no change in breathing, vet will do surgery again at no charge and use something else to hold mouth open! We are thinking of trying nose hole surgery before soft palate...
My Audrey has done the exact same thing I call it doggy pms lol no really, I rub her belly and kinda massage her belly because I've thought it could be gas ? Hope all turns out
Sorry super busy week!,
Thank you all for your prayers! Surgery went well expect the 'gag' they had around his mouth caused a huge hematoma so his entire face is a huge scabby sore!! Will post pics!
Good thing is that he isn't messing with it except to lick off ointment
My bulldogs chew on our stuff, so we gradually left them out ex: when we would only be gone for an hour or so and dog proofed house ex: put remote etc... Out of reach
But our bulldogs love their crates
Now they only go to crate when they want to.
Definitely wait until potty trained
Good luck!
Audrey had to have soft palate and nostril surgery and did fantastic, but she is a very small bulldog. When Ruger had cherry eye my vet(lots of EB experience raised them once) checked length of palate and said if we noticed issues to schedule surgery. He gas started breathing like a fish and...
Food is #1. but we have noticed that the bullie tail(we call the trap door) can get feces on when pooping so we put some disposable gloves and get the baby wipes out at least twice a day! I know it's gross
Good luck and welcome
Wire, try craiglist my bullies LOVE their crates they go in sometimes for naps and when I leave they automatically go in and I give them a treat! Good luck and welcome!
