Pardon my ignorance, but am I supposed to clean anal glands??? How do you do that and how do you know when to do that? Since my dogs have been puppies, I have wiped their butts with baby wipes or after every stool. Am I supposed to do something else to keep the area clean..besides showers...

It's the salmon oil; it's got to be. Try eliminating it for a week to see what happens. Maybe just give him oil every other day if you find that this is what makes his stool loose. Good luck.

My Harvey has had a red chin since forever! Seriously! I've tried everything: new diet, medicated shampoos, creams, etc. However, he's now on a no starch and grain (potato, rice, tapioca, etc.) diet. I believe his redness on his chin, between his toes, and in his face folds is a yeast thing...

Is it acne? At about 1 1/2 years old, both of my bulldogs experienced acne for a couple of weeks, but their acne appeared in the chin area.

Not sure what it means. Could be his way of getting your attention, or it may be his way of dominating. I think I've been watching the Dog Whisperer too much--:)))

What do you feed Baxter at meals and for snacks, may I ask.
