I agree. Start with where you want the pooch to go (middle of the lawn if you have one) . I would be upset if my dogs went on the deck. I accept that my 10 year old (Crazy the deaf dog) pees on the edge of the walkway sometimes,
I use Pepperidge farms goldfish crackers. Bulldogs don't know volume and if is good enough for us to eat it is good enough for them. no Imported dog treats for my pooches. Everyday when I get home from work they will not leave me alone until I pet them and give them their goldfish.
Crate train in my opinion. Follow the advice of the previous replies. He will actually like having his own safe place to sleep. Just have to say go to bed and he will go to sleep without a fuss.
Don't be sorry. Anybody who has had a dog they can still shed tears over 10 years later is lucky enough to have had a really loving dog. I still tell people at work stories about him that makes them and me laugh.
Bruno is about 55 lbs (54.5 at last checkup) Betty (Crazy) is 43 lbs. They both get the Costco Salmon & sweet potato dry food. Bruno gets 2 rounded cups a day, Crazy gets less than 2 cups a day. They are both nearly perfect weight. The salmon & sweet potato is what we found kept the skin...
Bruno and and Crazy (the white deaf dog) say hello. Been a while. life issues. Both of them are doing well. Crazy (Betty White 10 years old) and Bruno (the rescue dog) are doing well. Favorite things are food, Walks and barking. The deaf one barks the most. Thinking she feels the sounds.
sorry to say this but when he becomes uncomfortable it is time. We waited too long with our Tyler (still tears in my eyes after 10 years) he could not sleep because of the cancer. just panting. damn I just broke down thinking about it, I wish Lambeau the best.
Feel her ribs. If she has one big rib she is being fed too much. if you can feel each rib she is at her optimal weight. adjust her feeding until you can feel that she has ribs,
Since it has been a few days, I would imagine he is doing fine now. For those who are not sure. Symptoms of a blockage can be loss of appetite, drinking a lot of water and throwing up anything they drink or eat. That is when you need to take them to emergency. It happened with Tyler
(RIP)...
Bruno the rescue dog checking in. Working hard at keeping the couch from floating away. He is doing well. His health issues (aspiration pneumonia) seem to be all gone. loves to go for walks at night. Does fine with one mile fast walks. Of course his favorite things are chasing his nylabone...
Bruno kept having the aspiration pneumonia after throwing up problem. I think that is why the original owners gave him up. Rescue dog. He had the soft pallet surgery last December. No problems since.
