Did they suggest getting it tested? I just went through Geno getting a toe amputated because he had a tumor. You can check my profile for the link to the post I made about it with pictures. Geno's grew bigger every day so probably not tmr same thing, but better safe than sorry.
Great news! Geno is now bandage free! The doctor was very pleased with his progress in just a couple days. She thinks he didn't react well to stitches and commented that if any dog is going to react that way to stitches, it would be a BULLDOG! He still has to have his cone unless he is 100%...
Thank you for your prayers. I wouldn't opt for chemotherapy no matter what kind of cancer it is. I didn't really see a benefit in knowing. I knew his lungs were clear. I don't see how knowing more specific details would change how he was already being treated. We sent a sample of the mass...
So his bandage was off when I got home today. I think his sister, Cammie, did it for him as a favor she won't let him forget. Im debating about what to do. Here is the picture of it. I have a wound cleaner i think im going to use and bandage it the best i can. Here's today's photo, and one...
This is what the incision from the amputation looked like today. The stitches didn't take very well after all. They were just wrapped around a gross crust. The dr took them all off and they cleaned it really well and bandaged it again. He is on stronger antibiotics and pain medicine. I go...
The new bump on his other toe I saw on Monday at the vet when they changed his bandage. It's on his second to last toe on the opposite side of the toe that was amputated. Im hoping it's a result of his bandage being on or a regular cyst. He goes again on Friday for another follow up/ bandage...
So Geno had his toe amputated last Thursday. He had a tumor on it that got big quickly and changed every day. He did get cysts often, and I used a spray on them called rejuvaspray by holistic Animal company and it always worked. This time it was cancer. I chose not to have the tumor sent...
Thank you for the information. We have transitioned from our temporary condo to our permanent house in Vail. He seems to be doing just fine. I do feel bad sometimes that he can't come outside with us.
