    Tear Stain problem

I should have updated. We had the original issue as I posted l. With nothing but a location switch we had bad tear stains all of the sudden. We talked to the vet and asked if we could switch from Benadryl to a bigger dosage common allergy pill that most humans take. The name escapes me but we...

bumping this. We have a hyperactive bulldog named Winston and just south of Downtown Mpls. He's always game to play.

How to find the best vet who specializes in English Bulldogs

I saw this thread and was going to recommend Inver Grove Heights as they are fantastic. By your Dr's name, I know you've already made it there. We live in Mpls and drive about that far to get therer but wouldn't change it. They are great there.

    Tritop alternative

Is that common practice? I didn't know pharmacists could make stuff up for you. We got it for cuts and little skins rashes and such. Just about out, but figured this group would have some less costly ideas!

    Tritop alternative

Just wondering if anyone's used tri-top from the vet and found an alternative? We are about out of ours and think you need a prescription. Plus it's not cheap for a little tube. Anyone else use anything different?

    Tear Stain problem

Yes that's us exactly us! I just switched him to surf and turf to see if that'll clear anything up. Got some grain free treats as well. Last month + has been store bought filtered water by the gallon

    Tear Stain problem

So as an update we've been doing almost everything suggested for about a month now. We've gotten Costco yogurt which he gets a couple spoonfuls twice a day with his meals. We've also gotten drinking water, the kind where you fill up a gallon from the dispensing station at the grocery store. He's...

    Tear Stain problem

Has this helped and how long does it take to see results?

    Tear Stain problem

Wow. That's quite an improvement. I wonder what the yogurt does for them? Out of curiosity, how much do you feed them per meal? Winston only gets a 1 1/4 cups of food so a 1/4 cup of yogurt would be quite a bit.

    Tear Stain problem

Winston will be two in April. It seems odd that it would happen during a move basically. Guess I could get a Brita filter and give him that to rule that out

    Tear Stain problem

I've posted about this earlier and things seemingly haven't gotten better. We moved in September/October and Winston was eating the same food he is now, Fromm Pork and Peas. We didn't move far, couple of miles across town. Once we moved, his tear stains started developing. We've now for the past...

Tear and water stains on coat.

We are having trouble with Winstons as of late. We recently moved in September and he was on Fromm pork and peas then. When we moved to our new place everything was the same for him other than the water. He started to get tear stains when he didn't prior. It's mostly on the right side and...

Winston ate some underwear, we think

Do you remember all the names of stuff he received to get things moving? Unfortunately this happened on the weekend so we had to do the ER vet but if there is a next time (doing some preventative things) I would like to have all the information possible to try and escape that bill if at all...

Winston ate some underwear, we think

Thanks guys. It must have been a relatively easy procedure. They called at 11 last night said everything went well and right where he thought it would be is where there was some material. He also said there was some wood chips that werent helping anything either as far as letting it past...

Winston ate some underwear, we think

I did see the Xrays. His stomach was distended (bloated) beyond where it should be according to them. There was no outline of any cloth material, but they said you wouldn't see cloth. He explained that he thought it was near a basically "U" in the smaller intestine. He's in surgery now, and we...
