Need advice on soft stools and new puppy.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it! So Bowser is now 15 months old, he’s currently 53 lbs and is perfect according to his vet. We found a vet that specializes in English Bulldogs which is a good thing. As it turns out Bowser was allergic to Lamb, but was slow to show symptoms at first. He now...

I was looking into Fromm. Think they are our top pick. We’re seriously considering Raw now as an option.

So quick update. It appears that the health extension lamb and brown rice recipe I’ve been using has two different formulas. The old bags I was using is the ā€œnewā€ formula and the last one was the ā€œoldā€ one. They are two completely different formulas which would explain the sudden change in him...

Need advice on soft stools and new puppy.

From day one we’ve been on the hunt for a good quality kibble. It’s been a bit frustrating as he didn’t respond well to most of them (they were all too rich). This was the only food that we felt was decent quality and really made a difference with allergies/shedding. My Vet told us that it...

Okay so he won’t sit still but in real life he’s a bit bigger on top and more tapered at the waste than in the photo but this is close to reality.

I can take a picture in a bit as I have none that are from above in my phone. Maybe ā€œvā€ wasn’t the best term to describe it, he’s shaped more like the diagram you posted.

Noted. What was baffling is that it wasn’t chronic until recently. I guess that was his way of letting us know it was time to reduce his portions from puppy to adult. šŸ™‚

So it appears that it’s getting a little better. We cut his food down by 1/2 cup per day and he’s going less often and seems to be firming up.

I’m sure he’s not going to like that much haha. Today we cut 1/2 cup each feeding so he’s getting a total of 2 cups instead of 3 cups. So far he’s only poop twice but they have been better. We shall see….

I’d like to do fresh soon. Thanks for the help, and I think we’re going to reduce the food and go from there.

Ahh I see. Makes sense, that’s why I thought maybe he's eating too much. If you don’t mind me asking what brand do you feed?

I was thinking about reducing the food. Do you generally know when people reduce it to the ā€œadultā€ amount when using all life stages food? We just started him on probiotics again.
