I bought insurance for bulldog when I first got him at 3mo. It was $65/mo with $50 deductible with Trupanion. Once he turned 1year old, Trupanion increased the monthly premium to $85/mo with $50 deductible. I decided to cancel once it jumped by 33%. I surely didn't expect it to jump that high...
My Ari got it at around 5 months, both eyes. It was ointment at first but my vet referred me to a eye specialist and got the tack operation. 2K for both eyes, it hasn't come back.
Yeah, his other eye's cherry popped out also so I also decided to go the tuck surgery. But the price is quite steep at 1000-1500 so I need to front that money first. yikes. thanks for the update.
My Ari has cherry eye on his right eye and I am trying to avoid surgery. My vet has prescribed my with some Neo ointment that I apply 3x a day. His cherry eye has come and gone randomly but has not gone back in longer than 2 hours. I read that some of you have had success with massaging it back...
The same story happened to me. Raising a puppy comes with the battle scars as well. My Ari at 4 months has gotten the picture already. So he only has those accidental bites when we are playing and it isn't the hard chomping bites anymore.
If it is your first puppy, then most likely it will come from a stranger. No way around it. I highly recommended requesting for references of past puppies etc. Thats what I did, and it was a pleasant transaction in finding our dream dog.
Ari is a silent assassin as well. He's so quiet that he will just creep up on everybody and startle them and just smile at their reaction. He will bark if he hears something strange on TV or sees something on TV that triggers him to speak. I can easily make him growl by going into my wrestling...
You take your Seamus out into the unfenced world already?
My Ari hasn't seen anything except my backyard and he's about to hit 4 months haha. My vet didn't even let me walk him into the office, I had to carry him ever since he was 8 weeks! And I still am carrying him as his final shot is on...
Oh yeah I have the Kong Classic as well, and I freeze peanut butter in it, but he doesnt chew it. He rather just licks up the pb. and thats that. The Everest Chew sounds interesting, ill look into that. Thanks much!
He chewed up a piece of my drywall, I was talking on the phone with my credit card company and noticed he was chewing on the wall instead of his antler a tad bit too late. He also got the side of my office chair as I wasn't watching him while I was on the internets. And he's also got a hold of...
I am feeding Fromm puppy gold. Good solid stools. 1/2 cup three times a day. My Ari is always hungry tho, so I try to give him green beans as treats/snacks. I also do a squirt of salmon oil, 1 x a day, every other day. Fromm treats is also good for training, unfortunately I ran out of them real...
My lil dude Ari gets bored of his chew paraphernalia rather quickly. I try to alternate them as I currently use nylabones (2 different flavors), deer antler, and a cow hoof. What else can I buy and add to my arsenal so he doesn't chew up my furnishings?
