Thanks, we are really lucky with Odin that he has adapted so well to the baby, he made the transition pretty easily adjusting to the new baby. He loves him and is our protector now, whenever he gets scared of a leaf blowing in the wind he now puts himself between us and that scary leaf haha.
Well after meeting with her for almost two hours we decided not to bring her home for a trial :(
She was poorly socialized and she kept escalating her aggression against Odin to the point of drawing blood. I feel so bad not even giving her a trial, Odin never showed any aggression back to her...
We have a meeting this weekend to see how Odin (19 month old male) gets along with a 3 year old female rescue. She is on her third home :( first home newborn baby has an allergy, so not the dogs fault at all. The second home who she currently is being fostered by decided not to keep her because...
Odin gets this exact mark when bitten by certain bugs (horse flies for sure) we were scared it was a tick bite because of the "bullseye" but the vet assured us lots of dogs get this rash from bites, we put some tea tree oil ointment on it and one or two days later it cleared up.
I wanted to update you all too we stopped the Royal Canin after one day, and have him back on his Fromms - his poop is now close to normal and we will give him a little while and then start a slow food transition.
Thanks, we live in a subdivision so everyone is responsible for their own grass, we did reseed our lawn and fertilize this year but kept him off it for a couple weeks since he is like a cow when it comes to eating grass, but the thought has definitely crossed our minds.
i think we are going to...
Thanks @2BullyMama we were thinking about doing a food switch - we might try raw.
thankfully he did not vomit again last night, but did have diarrhea this morning which is expected since the vet had us switch him cold turkey to the Royal Canin. I'm going to look into Honest Kitchen too and see...
We do use an elevated food and water bowl, we have a slow feed bowl
but haven't been using it lately. This vet is not our usual vet since we have moved, but is the same vet our breeder uses for everyday issues - we wouldn't use them for surgery etc. but still familiar with the breed.
I I...
Sorry this is going to be a long one - I want to give you all the whole back story.
Since day one with Odin his belly has never been right. He had diarrhea as a puppy, had a bout at the Emergency Vet from vomiting and diarrhea at 12 weeks old - diagnosed as gastritis. As a result of that we...
I think we have a model on our hands lol
The local SPCA was having pictures done for a fundraiser and we were lucky enough to get him one - pretty impressed on how good it came out, with the people and other puppies he did not want to sit for a picture :tongue:
We have been dealing with this exact issue with Odin! Never a issue with tear stains, but we moved the end of January And have been battling then ever since, no other change. He always gets Brita filtered water, yogurt with his Fromms Lamb and Lentil, we use witch hazel in his folds, recently...
