post tail-amputation behavior

We had her tail amputation about 3 weeks ago. Pocket and the smell is gone.

But every once in awhile, i see her twirl on her butt. Before the surgery, she would rock on her bum - now it's a twirl and she doesn't seem very distressed or intense about it - she just does it and then walks off.

Got a call into the doctor on this.

Anybody else had experience with this?

Awe I love the butt twirl. My pups mom had a pocket tail but it was easy to.clean ive heard horror stories about them.

I am guessing it could be a little itchy from healing.

i would imagine as its only been 3 weeks its still healing,when we heal from a cut/op its always itchy,if it doesnt look sore and shes not in pain i would hold off seeing the vet ,karen
