Thanks friend!! The waiting is AWFUL, on a good note she's eating and playing as normal which makes me feel better. Hugs to Stella and Harvey....you know I ADORE photos of those two, better post some more soon :)

UPDATE --- Joey had another vet appointment today. Doc says that the eye is healing, slowly but surely. She says "much lighter" I ASSUME she is referring to the cornea? Ulcer? Nonetheless, she gave me another med to add to our daily regime. Atropine Sulfate Ophthalmic Solution, 1 drop per day for discomfort. She had a pug with the same injury that had great relief from this med. I had told her that Joey is just about done with getting stuff on her eye, weeps and is uncomfortable, so this is in hopes that Joey will tolerate the antibiotic ointment a little better. Another appointment next week, so stay tuned :)

Thank you so much Theresa....all prayers welcome for a RECOVERY soon. On a bright note the atropine drop (only one per day) seemed to really help her yesterday, she did not even rub here eye afterwards so probably reduced the discomfort, thank God!

Hello, seems like I am going through the same thing now with my Broly. Also seems to be worse when he wakes up as you had mentioned in your case. We had the ointment & drops as well, itā€™s been a 2 weeks since his 3 vet appointments. Not much improvement and was recommended to see a specialist. How long did it take to clear in your case or what was the resolution?
thanks

Hello there, sorry to hear that your pup is having the same issue. Her left eye ulcer, from a scratch, healed nicely after (2) grid keratotomy procedures, took about 3 weeks. NOW she has developed one in the right eye, she had the procedure last Tuesday and had a re-check today. Healing but not quite there yet, another appointment next week. Still doing the antibiotic ointment and the atropine drops daily. I will try to help anyway that I can, it has been a long road.

Sue and Joey
