Cheli cut his cornea

It happened last Saturday (November 1) but we have no idea how it happened.

he now has an ulcer forming He is in a cone, taking anti inflammatory, drops and an eye ointment.

Back for follow up on Wednesday.

The greenish circle on his eyeball is the size of the cut

OH gosh I'm so sorry... poor Cheli!!! The day after I saw your post, I had to call the vet for Wally... he had a pinhole cut on his EYE as well. NO CONE, but meds and eye ointment. IT NEVER ENDS!!!

Hang in there Chelios. Jewel had an eye ulcer a couple of times. We used plasma drops from Jewel's blood and an antibiotic drops. It took a while but it healed. Just keep your paws our of your eyes.

The vet draws blood and spins it down via centrifuge. The plasma is to be refrigerated and is good for about 48 hours. We applied drops 2-3 times a day. If other drops are used in conjunction, wait 5-10 minutes between drops.

Poor Cheli - we send our best wishes. Been there, done that, Castor says (although he refused to use the cone). Great that Cheli can sleep in your arms - that's probably the best treatment. As far as I remember, those things heal pretty quickly.
