Chunk of paw pad is gone!

I think he first got his skin thickened because of something (it formed like a dry blister), because pad around looks whitish. I think it was kind of hyperkeratosis, and then it just broke because it became brittle. His paw isn’t sore because this thickened skin was already apart from underplaying layer for quite some time and naked skin under blister matured. I think more pieces around will come off and everything will heal.

This would make sense as there is no wound or injury.

I said holy crap too when i saw that picture... Even more when you said it doesn't grow back! Lets hope google is right.
At least it does not appear to be hurting him. Happy to hear that Poor sweet guy! I hope it heals fast

I took him over to the breeder’s house last night and she trimmed off the dead flap. I wanted no part of it lol. Unless Louie starts talking, I’ll probably never know exactly what happened.

OMG [MENTION=16619]Cbrugs[/MENTION] I am just seeing this......OUCH !!! I would have totally freaked out....So glad it's nothing that is bothering him AND I would never, ever, do the trimming either....I am with you on that one!!!
