Our vet has referred us to a specialist to have Walter's sinuses looked at. She recommended having the sinus surgery done as soon as possible to prevent it from causing any health issues down the road. While this makes perfect sense to me, I'm still concerned about his age and the amount of growing he still has to do. He's not showing any signs of distress currently, but does snort, snore and wheeze quite a bit. (Which is absolutely adorable to me!) Has anyone had this procedure done on their baby? Is there any chance that he'll need to have it done again down the road because he'll grow more??

I would definitely make sure whatever vet or specialist you see has knowledge when it comes to bulldogs and their health. I think people on here have had nares/palate done and then needed to do it again at a later age.

That being said, while the snorting, snoring and wheezing may sound cute, breathing issues with bulldogs can be fatal so if it is needed, definitely get it done.

We had Lambeau nares done at 16 weeks... it was a great decision for him as it lessens the stress on the palate and can possibly eliminate the need for surgery on the palate later. Lambeau does not snore, but does grunt and snort with the best of them

Here’s a great website with videos so you can see n hears the difference of breathing issues.
