My 9 week old english bulldog has bumps under her ski. She is on ketoseb shampoo +ps and it is not clearing up. She is starting to lose her fur on her paw and on her back.
Can't keep affording the vet every week to get her looked at 20190323_165811.jpg20190323_165807.jpg

What are you feeding her? That looks like it could be an allergy, poor baby. Others will be along with suggestions, I am sure.

She was on Iams and we switched her to royal canin bulldog puppy. She had this before we got her from the breeder.

Bad dog food. She needs a grain free food, preferably not chicken! It looks like she may have a staph infection, or perhaps the mange. Have you had a skin scrape done? She will need medication and probiotics with her new food. If your vet has not helped-find another vet! You say she had this before you got her from the breeder? Her hair even looks dry and brittle. Has she been wormed? Better take her to a good vet. kmjack123

Yes she has had a skin scrape and everything came back normal. She has been wormed. What kind of food do you recommend and what probiotic

She is on ketoseb shampoo and we have only done 3 baths so far for her. She has to be on this medicine for 3 weeks. After next week we are going to take her to a bully vet to get treated

Most people here recommend Acana, Origen, or raw feeding.

They did scrape for mites? At 9 weeks I’d be surprised if this is allergy related. oscarmayer. Any insight?

Loss of fur and bumps is usually mange at her age

Food... grain free

Totally agree with 2BullyMama! Too early for allergy and such a bad staphylococcus infection (though possible), most probably mange. Mange isn’t easy to see in scrape, scrapes must be taken from 3 places, different techniques are used to increase probability of seeing them etc. A lot of false negative scrapes happen, as mange mites are evasive and doctors are not so diligent sometimes. Immediately put her on Nexgard for mange. Anyway you need flea and tick protection, and Nexgard treats mange.
Choose better food, add probiotics, good quality fish oil.

They gave her a flea and tick medicine while we are at the vet last.

I think a second opinion might be needed... it really looks and sounds like mange

I would not rule out allergies out of hand if it isn't mange. It doesn't have to be food. About 2 weeks after we brought our 8 weeks old American Bulldog puppy home, she broke out in lumps and her eyes were so swollen, she looked like she had gone a round with Mike Tyson! The vet gave her antihistamines but we never did figure out what caused it.

So we ended up going back to the vet with the idea of mange and ringworm. Turns out it is ringworm as the puppy has now gave ringworm to me and my fiance.
