If anyone is in any doubt at all about the safety of Rawhides, they should read this. Years ago, before we knew better, our American Bulldog choked on one. She was also food aggressive and it was a very scary situation. Luckily we managed to get it out of her throat with no damage to anyone involved but my dogs haven't even clapped eyes on one since!

Every time I walk into a Petco or Petsmart I see those things...makes me sick. Telling the staff is a waste of time and, quite frankly, annoying...they're idiots.
These pet supply companies know these things kill...but, "when there's a dollar to be made...we can't let a few dead dogs hold us back." Sad sad sad.

Agree!! All pet shops should remove them completely from all stores...

Our older bulldog Bella swallowed a large piece whole, after she was choking of course... scared us to death!!! Needless to say we have NEVER allowed another one in our home...
