Well, I happy that you found a vet that isn't too eager to use his knife with a limping puppy. It is very unfortunate that you and your puppy is going through this, but I know too many cases where they have operated on a young dog and later on when the other bone grows in the front legs there is another problem yet again. I'm no expert in kibble, but at least the ones that are meant for giant breeds should hinder the bone growth. There are a lot of supplements for growing puppies, but I don't know what you available in Greece.

One of my pups was fed the same adult food that the grown dogs were eating. She developed just fine, and had no health or joint problems at all. She also had a supplemental vitamin. I also used to raise horses, and my Vet said that young horses have less bone problems who are fed a good horse feed, and not pushed along with high protein grains and too many supplements to make them grow faster.I am sure that applies to any animal.

Might not be much help, but our Lola had a limp when she was this age after resting
or playing and our bulldog specialist put it down to growing pains.

We changed her diet and controlled her hyperactive playing and she has been fine ever simce.
She was on puppy food with lots of things to help with growth and our specialist suggested moving her to the adult diet. In my eyes it helped.

I thought it was because she had a dead leg from sleeping funny😂

Thank you for your reply.Every info is helpful really.
Kyla is so hyperactive too from the first time we got her that we think that is not normal for a eb as the most say that are lazy. She doesnt understand her weight I think most of the time because she jumps ,climbs on the bed.
She is adorable ang plays all the time.
I bought the adult food and I will try to stop give her treats and give her fresh vegetables insteed(I am searching which are most suitable for a eb).

On the package of acana has a table with the amount of food accordindg the weigh of the dog.it has a note that says that if it is a puppy we must give the dog 1 1/2 of the food that a adult dog will get.In that case we must follow the note to give the right amount or keep feed her like an adult dog.I am confused with that and I will ask my vet but I appreciate if you give me your opinion.

Honestly, I have never followed the directions on the bag(s). I have had many dogs, and just fed what I thought was right. The amount you have been feeding her,( of your original food) would be a good place to start. You can judge from there, if you think she needs more or less, by how she looks.

At 33 lbs I'd start with feeding 1-1.25 cup twice daily. Just watch her waist and adjust accordingly. Try to keep her on the thin side of healthy. For a dog with mobility issues, carrying extra weight is a negative.

Kyla is 5.5 months and she weights 39 lbs.
how can i understand by watching her waist if her weight is right.there are some right messurements or by the experience.Sorry if is a silly question. Her waist is thin but her belly is big.

I look for a well-defined waistline, a dip just beyond the rib cage. You should be able to feel the ribs but not see them. Bulldogs have a broad chest. This applies to a healthy adult dog...puppies are OK a little rolypoly. With your puppy having mobility problems I'd "lean" to the lean side of healthy. I'm hoping that all you are seeing is growth issues and nothing that will be permanently debilitating.

Try to keep her from going down steps and no jumping... lessen any additional chance of issues

I give her 90gr x3 times a day.But I find that when I was at work,my mother used to gave her more (120gr).she was thinking that kyla was very hungry and gave her more because the sweet little devil eat her food in few seconds.I want kyla to lose few pounds so as to be more light and help her with her problem s with her front legs.
