"SHE IS HOME :)"

Overwhelmed with gratitude & joy at your words, Bree.
Was listening to Pastor John Hagee speaking about God's might,
the power of faith, the storms in our lives, that God is with us and
hears us, I check to see if there is word on Layla and read that sentence.
I drop to my knees, weeping and praising God, thankful for your blessing.
Will continue praying for complete recovery & send love to all, XOXO

xoxoxoxox Bless You!!! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!!

Awwwa...best news Iā€™ve heard today! What a relief to at least have her home. Try giving her homemade broth. Tons of great minerals to keep her going if sheā€™s not eating. Just a thought.

Thank you!!! Today was a little better - got her to have some banana and some food, she seems hungrier. She slept A LOT, of course she is exhausted. Hopefully she perks up a little...
xox!!

Stuff and maybe something that she would like Sam Spruell her appetite . Sending prayers for you and them as well

SHE IS HOME:)
Layla was stable enough to come home yesterday (28th). She is very weak, thin and exhausted. She seems shell-shocked. She had an ok night, but she isnā€™t really eating, and she will have to go back to the hospital if that doesnā€™t change. Right now she has a UTI (which I hope clears up with these antibiotics but it seems odd that this is still an issue), elevated liver and kidney levels, high blood pressure and of course Lyme. She is on 7 different different medications and will have a recheck with her specialist tomorrow. The road to recovery will be long, and Iā€™m am still hopeful we will get there. But she is home, I can hug her and Wilbur lost his mind when she came in the door. He is keeping a close watch on her and helping me keep all of their medications straight. I am 100% housebound now, between the two of them!! But I wouldnā€™t trade it for anything... I am with my loves ā¤ļø

Three days ago, she gave us her parting gift- her very best effort to leave us as we knew her, trying so hard to be our happy healthy girl. She ate well, chewed her Nylabones, played with her brother...I thought she was healing. In the end, lyme took her legs, her kidneys, her liver and finally her life. We said goodbye to our sweet girl yesterday, in her own bed and in our arms with Wilbur close by. It was too soon, she should have had many more years. Now we have to learn how to live without her, and I just donā€™t know how. Wilbur is so lost without her.
Youā€™re free to be a Running Girl now, but we will carry you with us always.
