I have noticed recently (last month) that my 6 year old males poop smells very strong and vinegary. We have not changed foods. He also has lost patches of hair on his back- going to the vet next week but wondering if anyone has ever experienced this.

Lost fur patches could be a staph infection... not sure it would impact smell of poo, but what are you feeding? Just like humans for one reason it just stops agreeing with them

All i can add, is the issue with unusual\ different smelling poo.
An infection.
