Bio-Sponge

A friends horse is having diarrhea problems and Bio-sponge was recommended to try and help. I have never heard of it and seeing as the name was intriguing, looked it up. It is also used in dogs and cats, so, for what it's worth, thought I would pass it along.

It’s most probably some kind of mix of pectins, agar-agar and lignans, that are known to absorb toxins and are excreted with stools. It’s the same substances you find in apples, chia seeds, pumpkin, kelp etc. Various types of fibre.

Or it can be micronised white clay, like in Smecta for people.

p.S. Checked contents - it’s dioctahedral smectite, white clay, the same which is used for people in Smecta.
