So I've been posting on here a lot over the past few months about our little Pippen girl's re-curring UTIs and incontinence issues. After having more issues last month, our vet suggested we go see a specialist to try and figure out what could keep causing these problems.

So we took her in today for testing/imaging and she does in fact have an ectopic ureter [emoji20]. I still have to schedule her surgery to have this fixed but was wondering if anyone has had this surgery done before and how it went?

Thanks!

OMGoodness YES!! you must feel much relief:whew:

Ellie on the other hand, after seeing the specialist and having an ultra sound of her urinary parts, and not having block kidney's or secondary symptoms of the Etopic Ureter (similar to Pippen), no infection and a perfect urinalysis, the specialist at this time feels it is behavioral, so here we go again with potty boot camp for Ellie, but right now she ONLY pees her crate in the afternoon!! She gets a potty break at lunch time and for some reason towards the end of the day...Well Ellie has tough mommy!!

Ellie and I send our best, please keep us posted!!:hug:

Just wanted to update! Pippen had her surgery yesterday and the vet said everything went really well. They corrected her ectopic ureter that they saw on imaging and the other ureter was actually ectopic as well, so they corrected that one as well. She also had her nares widened while she was under too. She's still at the hospital now as they wanted to leave the urinary catheter in for a few days. They will hopefully be able to pull it tomorrow and after she pees on her own she can come home! Now I'm just praying that she doesn't have anymore problems after this and we won't have to worry about it anymore!!
