Honey
Looks very promising to me- safer than apoquel, prednisone, cyclosporin, mycophenolate. But will be expensive. Apoquel is the next safest to this, but can cause skin tumours and immune suppression, this drug doesn't seem to do that.

I would try raw food or dehydrated raw food, and maximum dose antihistamines and washing pet weekly before this. Allergy testing and sublingual or subcutaneous immunotherapy is an option that isn't as effective, but if it's any less expensive it's worth trying first.

Harlea 5/4/13 - 8/25/22
We are looking at for Harlea as we have been discussing with het vet about break through scratching in the spring and summer months even though she is on Apoquel ad they do not want to increase her dosage even though she is on the lowest dose possible. I have also talked to a few other bully parents that I know and the early feedback I have heard so far has been nothing but positive so we will see. The treatment for Harlea would be a shot every 6 weeks in addition to her Apoquel.

The fact that so far it only has the one trial, by the manufacturer, is a concern for me. The results do sound good but I would like to know unbiased reports and of course, we know of no long term side effects yet, if any. With a bit of luck I will be able to keep Monty's allergies under control and not have to be confronted with it!
One can only hope!

I will be very interested to hear how it goes with Harlea so please keep us informed. Thanks!

I have just found out that Brittmoore (our bully vet) is using it so that eases my mind a bit.
