Hello everyone,

I'm guessing this is a fairly common issues with bulldogs. Unfortunately , I have been to the vet twice now and home with a dose of antibiotics. My girl is now on her second round of antibiotics and they are obviously not working. After a week on them, another raised red bump has appeared between the toes today.

I feed her Fromm Lamb and Lenti and I clean her paws and bath her with the below wipes and shampoo.

Any help would be so appreciated. IMG_9711.JPG

Thank you so much !!! IMG_9710.PNGIMG_9710.PNG

Harvey has you covered with the link! Tyson gets them from time to time. Usually a good soaking for a few days in epsom or hibiclens will get rid of it. Once we did have to have it drained by vet. Best thing to do is try and keep the paws clean and dry as much as possible :) Good luck, keep us posted!

We've never had to deal with them until a year ago. Vegas was 8 before he ever got one. They are a pain in the bootie! He was also put on antibiotics because when they scraped one they detected bacteria. We also feed Fromm. Originally we were doing beef but switched to Lamb and Lentil. I believe it's the only version without any potato in it. Since then we've been doing better.

Gang has you covered... keep in mind, these are caused by allergies so you have to find the trigger. For my one boy it was rice, for my girl it was chicken and grass (had to wipe her paws after every outing) and for our current boy it is lamb.

We had a blood allergy test done to identify -- it is not 100% accurate but gives a good guideline

Aww.....I'm sorry she has those! :( Our Meaty used to get them ALL. THE. TIME---they were awful ! You may already know this, but we would soak Meaty's paw in a basin with warm water and Epsom salts. And, we of course tried to keep his paws DRY at all times! He LOVED it when we'd dry them with a paper towel. It was difficult to keep them DRY because he would lick them constantly; which is when
we decided to put a cone on him.....which he HATED! Annnd, believe it or not, he was able to take BOTH kinds of cones off by himself, no matter how tight or secure they were! :fie:

Two different vets
(they're both pawsome!) said they were never sure if it was environmental or food-related. I can tell you that after
going through MANY food trials, we found the food for him that SEEMS to have cured them. It also might help you to
mention that our 6-yr.-old girl has only had ONE in her entire life, and it after we fed her some cooked chicken (NO spices, of course!)

One of our vets is a VERY knowledge-abull BULLDOG specialist, and he told us they can NOT have beef, pork, chicken, etc.
FISH-BASED, grain-free ONLY! After doing trials with several kibbles, the one that FINALLY got rid of them was Natural
Balance **Limited Ingredient** Salmon and sweet potato. Good luck, I hope she's better soon!
