So Penny's had this rash for a few days now. Any idea as to what it is? I've tried just cleaning it with mild soap/water. Rubbing it with coconut oil. And today I put some gold bond lotion on it. It doesn't look any worse or better than this.
I was trying to hold off until she goes back to the vet next Monday- but figured I'd ask you guys for some advice.
Haven't used any new laundry soaps, cleaning stuff.

contact dermatitis...usually from grasses, or a household chemical. On rare occasion though, from not getting enough hugs and kisses.
Just keep doing what you're doing til you see the vet and let him make the call.
Penny may benefit a bit from Benadryl. 2 pink pills twice daily

Only on her belly? does look like it is from coming in contact with something not agreeing with her... As Chip stated... benedryl 2x a day should help

Benedryl is the only thing I haven't tried. Thanks!

Nothing outside has changed either. Especially since it's getting colder too. That's why I'm so confused. [emoji85]

Often it's not the environment thats changing, it's the dog that's changing..."developing" an allergy to...what allergy testing indicates

If she's itchy, get the Benadryl cream too for topical, since she shouldn't be able to reach down there ;)

That's the thing - it doesn't seem to bother her. [emoji848]

Could just be something totally random since I know you mentioned nothing's changed. Or maybe a reaction to a bug bite. Good thing she's not itchy :)

Yea- that's what I'm hoping for. If it's not cleared up by Monday, I'll have the vet check her out at her ( hopefully) last TPLO follow up.

Just about completely cleared up! I just started wiping her down with a warm Norwex cloth a few times a day and that seems to have done the trick.
