My Six month old bulldog has cherry eye. Our local vet gave us eye drops which did not help so I guess we are surgery bound:(. The problem is they didnt seem comfortable doing the surgery there. Which in turn killed my confidence in them. So my question is are there any vets in northwest Ga you would recommend?

Okay, let me look for some GA members, maybe they can chime in. Worst case scenario - I know the drive is 2 hours, but I would totally make it if it meant a bulldog experienced vet was doing the surgery. Coming from someone who personally almost lost hers due to a non-bulldog experienced vet during surgery. Not that I can think of.... I'll do a member search and see if there are any.

Michael -- is there a local Bulldog rescue near you... Georgia Bulldog rescue, even if not right near you they may be able to refer you to a vet in your area. However, if not, a two hour drive is more than worth it if you have a experienced bully vet to do the procedure. Bulldogs can have difficulties coming out of anesthesia if not done right.
