Sweet Potato/PH Levels??

Hi All!!


Would anyone know if Sweet Potato in dog treats/food, would cause their Urine PH to rise??

Ellie had PERFECT 6.5 Reading on Saturday and tested HIGH 8 today, we did had KPT on Sunday, and her Treats (Fruitables - Apple and Bacon flavor) have Sweet Potato as the 1St ingredient, that is ONLY thing that I can think of right now that would have changed since then...

Hello,

Sweet potato are a "low acidic" food. Acidic foods lower PH levels. So,,,, doubt it.

I don' t believe sweet potatoes alone would do that.
