    Default Puppy Vaccinations ?

    Hello to all Bulldog owners,

I am doing some research and would like lots of responses.
I am trying to find out what schedule is used for puppy vaccinations.

If you own a Bulldog and got your dog as a puppy, or if you just got a puppy, when did you puppy get vaccinations. I am not so much interested in WHAT the vaccination was, just what schedule ( ie: 5,7,9,11 6,9,12,15, etc).

If you are a breeder (no need to reveal this info), just when are puppies vaccinated.

Doing research about when to give shots, seems to have a wide range of protocols. The general information websites will suggest a schedule, and the veterinary / science resources have another schedule.

Have you ever wondered if your vet is correct / accurate as to when to give shots?
What is the recommended follow-up such as "annual" ?
What is the DOI ? "In our studies aimed at assessing the minimum duration of vaccinal immunity (DOI)" Are we over vaccinating our dogs?

Hello, Honey, great to see you here, been thinking about you
and wondering how you are doing?

It's been a long time since I've had a puppy, been taking in
older dogs as strays and last few years, adopting adult dogs
needing homes. Since I've been disabled and now, widowed
for 3 & 1/2 years, I don't get out to dog parks, etc or go on
trips so don't board my dogs therefore avoiding many shots
that you need if exposed to other dogs. I do Rabies shots only,
once every 3 years. YES...I do believe we are over vaccinating
as new studies are proving that many (like rabies) are giving
life long immunities so we could probably go boosters every 10
years with that one and others. We also should not be giving
multiple shots in one or heavy hitters together in a single shot
as the potential for adverse reaction is greatly increased. Since
I'm disabled due to auto immune dysfunction, I've researched
these issues in humans and a lot of these same questions are
being studied and looked out. My opinion is that our animals are
having more & more auto immune disease and vaccine reactions
resulting in illness, long term damage & increased #'s of death.

Sending love to you & yours & keeping y'all in my thoughts.

We got Lambeau a little over a year ago

here was his shot schedule based on birth on 10/22/2014:

    12-3-14 (breeder gave)
    12-25-14 (breeder gave)
    1-28-14 (vet)
    2-15-14 (vet)
    Rabies was in March (vet)
Lyme/Lepto were in April (usually our vet does not give these, but we have deer, rabbit, snake, possum, raccoon, etc running through our yard) (vet)

I never questioned the schedule as I whole heartedly trust our vet... been with him for 12 yrs and he is very vocal on all this stuff... he does not give more than one shot at a time and likes to spread them out, at least a week apart. The rabies and pravo shots are either 2 or 3 year depending on age and the lyme/lepto, I think are annual.

Not sure what you mean by research - are you collecting information for your own interest or are you conducting some kind of study?! Anyway, Castor has followed the Swedish Kennel Club recommendations: at 7 weeks, 12 weeks, and one year. He also got a shot at two years but not sure if he needs yearly shots as they are supposed to last for three years once they have gone through the full programme.

These vaccinations have been standard stuff (3-in-1: distemper, parvo, and hepatitis). He also got a rabies shot before we went to Denmark on holiday as that is required for all dogs entering Sweden (no rabies here so dogs only get a rabies shot if they are travelling abroad).
