Split lip

So dexter has 2 spots on his lip where it normally is just kinda a wrinkle. Now they're split and raw looking but not bleeding. I recently got him a bone that he loves - it's a natural non splintering thing. Think that's it? Or his lip is just dry. I feel so bad for him!!

Is it really and open sore or just a change in pigment, which happens a lot..... Lambeau has one right now too
