Help!!

I have a 7yr old English bulldog & she's had multiple issues with her L front paw. I've taken her to several vets & specialist, but the issue seems to only get worse. We've used ointments, steroid meds & spray, antibiotics, Epsom salt soaks, & apple cider, but we're having no luck. She's had several Interdigital Furuncle/Cyst on the same L paw, & now has subsided, but the bottom pad is swollen & she seems to have issues walking on it.
We use to live in Las Vegas, & have moved to Texas where it's humid & rainy. Not sure what else to do or if anyone else's bully baby is suffering from the same issue.
Please advise, any help or suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It looks like its inflamed... does it smell. Yeast can turn into something horrible like that too, have they ever put her on any time of antifungal meds? When Tyson had a bad breakout of yeast, he got steroids, anti fungal and antibiotic. I asked where you were, bc we're in Houston and have an excellent bully vet here. What have they put her on med wise in the past? and what did they say it was? Her paw looks so painful, poor baby!!!

Didn't realize there were two attachments.

The bottom looks terrible and very painful, you need to get her to a vet. She probably requires an antibiotic and an ointment.

These are the meds we got, please have another vet take a look. These cleared up Tyson.

The Mometamax is for Ears. So may not need that.

Thanks for all your advise & we'll definitely mention the meds they recommended Ty to our vet visit today.
Here's a few topical ointments, sprays, & wipes that have been prescribed to us in the year we've lived in TX. In addition to those topical meds, she was also given/prescribed 200mg amoxitabs, 50mg zeniquin, 100mg clindamycin, 100mg cefpodoxime, 15gm neo-predef/tetracain, 10mg prednisone, & 250mg novo-Lexin.
They've scraped her skin, did a biopsy, done a thyroid test, & her foot is still not healed. I'm just not sure what else to do since I hated leaving her there & getting her blood drawn so many times. In addition to seeing her in pain, I paid $2,000 for the vet to diagnose her to have occasional cocci bacteria. It's apparently in her bloodstream or is hereditary. They explained that these symptoms are normal in bully breeds & due to the fact that she had demadactic mange when she was 3yrs old on the top of her L eye.
Let's hope this new vet can shed some light & help remedy the swelling. Wish us luck & thanks again for everyone's help.

I feel for you. I have huge skin issues with one of mine too.
Have you seen a dermatologist vet, or regular one? If you've been seeing a normal vet, stop. See a dermatologist, hopefully they'll be able to help.

Topicals that contain chlorhexidine (like the douxo in the picture) or ketoconazole are going to irritate her pad right now. I don't think any of the topicals you posted are antibitoics, I'm m thinking more along the lines of mupirocin. An antibiotic ointment you need a script for.

It could be the weather, or it could have been a scratch that got infected. Impossible to really say...

Does her paw smell? Like yeasty? Corn chips? I really understand as Tyson is full of environmental allergies too. So happy you're seeing the vet today, just to get it under control and get her comfortable. All we can do is manage it, and keep it at bay. Maybe like Ellie said, dermatologist may be a good idea if vet can't diagnose.

:goodpost::goodpost: exactly what I was going to suggest, they do stuff that normal vets cannot.

She has seen a dermatologist specialist re: her condition where they've done a culture test, biopsy, & blood test. Their diagnosis was the cocci bacteria with a slight low thyroid. She was not given any thyroid meds during her diagnosis since it was borderline.
Now, the new vet prescribed her a months supply of Cefpodoxime 100mg every 24hr, & thyrotabs .3mg every 12 hrs for 6 weeks. A blood test will be done after 6 weeks, but she needs to stay on constant antibiotics to help with the infection & inflammation. The vet didn't want to poke, scrape or take another sample due to the severity of the infection especially the inflammation.
For now, keep it dry & clean until the meds take effect. Tytysmom - her foot does smell with yeast between the crevice of her paws. I'll be using the Epsom salt dip on her foot to help dry it out & relieve the smell.
Thanks for everyone's support & help today. It's just so frustrating since there's no diagnosis that can pin point what's causing her foot to flare. I hate seeing her uncomfortable since she's my baby & it feels as if I can't do anything to help ease her pain. image.jpeg (My sleepy & exhausted lulu bug)

Thanks so much for the update!! Hopefully the meds will get her feeling better in a few days. Poor baby girl, she is just precious! Good idea on Epsom salt soaks - those are good to keep it clean, and hopefully less irritated - keep us posted on her progress :)
