Welcome to EBN, sorry there's no information I have other
than read the articles under Forums and someone will be on
to relate their experiences & advise you. I know it's very helpful
for their breathing & stamina increases.

Will be praying for y'all that surgery goes smoothly & over quickly
and recovery is quick & easy to, please update us when you can.
Sending hugs to you & Boris!

Wally had his soft palate and nares done at the same time, he was absolutely fine. Honestly I wish I had done the surgery on my previous bulldogs, IMO it's a lifesaver if they need it.

Best of luck... lots of prayers and positve thoughts heding to you all.

Neuter should be a none issue, they are usually fine within a day or two and wanting to run around. Palate surgery, soft food for the first few days and then work the kibble back in. Try to keep them as calm as you can and if he is a barker, do all you can to stop it so he does not add to the scaring in the throat.

keep us posted

hey there neigbor Jmlevin

Is he out yet?

Where did you take him to have it done?

I'm watching this thread for updates- but I bet your boy will do great.

Both of mine had brachycephalic surgery and were fine. One of them, like yours, had everything done at once. The nares/palate as well as tonsils and saccules was the best thing we ever did for them.

Like 2BullyMama said, recovery is pretty fast, just keep him from barking.

Hey I just spoke to the doctor Boris's surgery went well, he had the soft palate stenotic nares saccules and neuter all done at once. Thanks for all the wishes and prayers sent Boris's way I had the procedure done at Greenwich Village Animal Hospital nycbullymama I'm waiting by the phone seeing if my boy is coming home today or if I'm not gonna be able to pick him up til tomorrow.

good to hear!
if they have someone watching them over night, see if you can leave him there. sometimes, the palate can swell after surgery so it's best if they're already in a place where they can get the swelling down fast.

Thanks nycbullymama I'd prefer him to stay overnight for that reason the Dr would stay overnight with him that performed the surgery I do miss my boy but I want to do whatever's best for him.
