My bully is 2 years old and yesterday we noticed signs of itching and hives. It has been progressively getting worse. We have been accustomed to these reactions and usually treat her with Benadryl 25mg tabs which usually clear it up.
We took her to a pet hospital today, and they ended up prescriber her chlorpheniramine 4mg .. 2 tablets every 12 hours as needed. I am going to start it tomorrow but her reaction symptoms are worryingn me as they are not improving. The vet has given her Medrol injections in the past which clears up the hives and itchiness, but today she said she would not give it to her because of possible side effects. We go to a regular banfield hospital but I have an appointment with a bully specialist in 2 weeks.
Any advice as to what I should look out for or any other treatments to help my baby feel better? I've attached some pics so you can see some signs of her reaction. Thanks so much for any help! Can't wait to clear this up once and for all!
