Murphy has a dry spot that is balding on his back
There's isn't an open sore or anything.
When I first noticed it, I could look around it and a few hairs would come out in a clump.
It isn't large and the vet put him on antibiotics

My question is.
Is there a certain pet friendly coconut oil that I should use
Or if it's organic etc it is okay

I mean if it treats what he has that's great, but I've been reading its overall good for his coat :)
So wanted to try it.
He has a vet appointment next week so I'll ask them about it again. BUT can I still use coconut oil in general

This was only 10.00. Didn't buy it yet. Wanted advice. image.jpg

Yes that's the right kind of coconut oil. I hope it heals up for him.

I can't really read the label...but I'm a big coconut oil fan, all round, even w/myself and my girls...we get Kelapo - but I've read as long as it's organic, virgin, cold pressed then it's good to use.

I've also used Vitamin E oil on any suspicious spots, Bass had a few this season from Ticks and Maple Syrup that my girls spilled on his fur (found out he's allergic to the syrup by his skin's reaction once it got on his fur).

I've read that one teaspoon every other day at dinner time is right.

Even if it turns out he has allergies, you will still benefit from it yourself...there are two things that are always in my kitchen cabinet...Braggs ACV and Kelapo Coconut Oil. If you google these, you'll find out 1,000 different uses (all beneficial for your health and well being). So I don't think it will be a waste :)

He loves loves loves the coconut oil!!
His spot on his back has cleared up quite well. & he enjoys licking the spoon!
I'm really happy I found this site.
Everyone here is full of good advice, especially being a new bully Mom!!
