Oh No. I see redness!

Giving Charlotte her bath and while getting her tail cleaned up, I noticed some redness around it! Noooooooooooooooo. She has a very deep, tight cork screwed pocket which I try to keep clean regularly. Never had an issue before. I finished her bath, dried her and lathered her up with Desitin for the time being. I've read so much about tail pockets and still it happens!
What do you all suggest? There seems to be so many options..... To complicate matters I'm going on vacation in 4 days and leaving her with a sitter... Thankfully, I don't think she'll mind the extra tail therapy too much.
