Hi everyone
I have a friend with a bulldog 11 months old and when he plays with my Chumley at the park he often vomits white frothy foam sometimes with a few bits of dry food in it ,it usually only happens when he is playing , running around ,he has a very long tongue and does not dribble like my Chumley .any suggestions on why this would be happening

I think it's an elongated soft palate. Wellie would also have foam and kibble come up, even with mild exertion - until we had it shortened.

I don't have any experience with elongated palate, but I was also going to suggest it was either from over exertion or over heating.

I would suggest that she have the palate evaluated, seems like it may be the issue. I had two with the problem, and this happen when they were playing or running

Yep, I agree, probably elongated palate.

Yes, sounds like elongated palate. Castor vomited like that too before he went through surgery. nycbullymama has written a great article on Brachycephalic Syndrome here on EBN.

Agree with everyone and pray they get him checked out immediately!

Even with surgery to shorten palate, some bullies can't over exert and
especially hot & humid days or too long walks or playing. Some bullies
have extremely narrow windpipes (like a straw) and can't take in enough
air to cool down after getting hot. They could lose him so easily ;(
