Help with runny nose

Lately my dog has been having some mucus coming out of his nose. At first I wasn't worried cause it was clear, it was not much and it was when he went outside, so I thought it was the heat of summer. But lately it has become not so clear and more quantity. There is no cough or sneeze or anything else with this. I want to know if there's something I can do about this to make him feel better before I take him to the vet and spend a couple hundred dollars on vet bills. Thanks in advance

I'd get him to the vet especially if you're noticing more of it. If he has an upper respiratory thing going on it will be far less expensive then latter on.

I would also get him to the vet right away. Better to nip it in the bud!

If the discharge has any color to it--- go to the vet. As Phil said.... uri can develop very quickly and become very costly
