Today is Effie's spay surgery. I dropped her off before I headed to work. I am so nervous that I can't even stand it. I'm just sitting at my desk anxiously waiting to get the call telling me she's fine.
So much for getting any work done this morning.....:nervous:

I'm sure she'll do fine. I know it's really nervous making to wait for that call! Winnie got spayed a few months ago. She was a bit loopy the first night, but back to herself the next morning. Hugs!

Out of the many dogs & cats I've rescued & adopted
in my 60 years, I've never had an issue. Was still
nervous each time even as I had many prior to calm
my worries...we love our babies & do worry.

Prayers for Effie's quick & easy spay & healing asap!

Thanks Ladies :) I've only ever had my male cat neutered before (almost 11 years ago). My female cat was already spayed when we rescued her.
But this is a totally different ball game.
Effie is my baby! I just want her little wiggly self to be okay! I'll be sure to let y'all know once I get the call :)

Here's a couple pics from yesterday afternoon :) It may be a few days before she's this happy again. My pretty little girl.

Well, that was fast! She's all done with surgery. Our vet said everything went smoothly :) My hubby is going to go pick her up at 1:30pm.
Thank Goodness!!! Maybe now I can get some work done, haha.

YAY! I'm glad it went so well! Now you have the whole weekend to cuddle her. Your biggest problem will probably be getting her to rest. Thanks for sharing those pics of Effie. She is adorable! Wishing her a speedy recovery!

Thanks!! :) I'm looking forward to lots of puppy cuddles! But yeah, I'm wondering how I'm going to be able to get her to relax this weekend. If need be, I guess she can always be contained in her crate if she starts getting too excited. Which I hate to do, but at least she can't hurt herself in there. How long does the healing process normally take?

I had to give Lambeau Benedryl to get him to settle down.. he just wanted to wrestle and play the day after surgery
