Hi all,

I just notice that my bully didnt drink as much for past 24 hours.

I notice his water bottle or the water jowl hadnt been touch much. Even when i took him out for wee in the middle of the night, he didnt touch his water.

Have you had this experience before? Any reason why? Am getting worried. How do i get him drink more?

Could be because he is on the bland diet.... bullmama ? I noticed when Banks was sick and i put her on it, she did drink less as did Cheli

Does he usually drink a lot? I have one who drinks a lot of water and the other barely touches it..

If he is on the bland diet because of intestinal problems, that could be why he is not drinking much water. If it continues too many days, you may need to take him to see a vet.

It could be the bland diet, since the meat is boiled and the rice is steamed it does have a lot of moisture content.

I agree also that if he's not better in a day or two he needs another recheck at the vets. I know you took him there already, and they checked his stool. Do you know if they also tested him for giardia?

Hi all,

Thank you for the input.

He was on bland diet due to fact that his stool was too soft.

However, he didnt poo for the past 15 hours already. He drinks and eat but no stool.

I will try giving him 1/4 cup of tice, 1/4 cup of acana and 30gr of boiled chicken breast meat.

Hope this will help and slowly introducing acana back to him.

Pls advise if this is ok.
If he is not having any stool or poo, should i be worried now?
bullmama - no he wasnt tested for giardia

I should rephrase that, when they checked his stool was it tested for giardia?

Either way if he's backed up now he likely doesn't have it. Yes I would go ahead and start adding the Acana back in.

Is he trying to poop but nothing is coming out? How is his behavior otherwise?

I was just going to add I would give him some crushed ice if he is refusing water…

Hi all,

I notice:
1. He didnt even try to poo
2. He peed soooo much
3. Behavious us ok, very playful and kept trying to bite my toes
bullmama, do i need to mixed the dryfood with the rice n breastmeat? Or i can go straight to acana? Just worries that he hasnt pooed for 24 hours now.

Saw him drank just now after i drop a toy to the water bowl.....

I would do half and half for at least one day if it were me, and since he's not pooping he's likely absorbed all the food and has no waste.
