Help Needed! Vasculitis

Yogi has been diagnosed with vasculitis. He is retaining about 14 pounds of fluid, which makes it difficult for him to move around. The vet has him on Prednisone and Pentoxifylline. Has anyone dealt with this? It's been over two weeks, and I have seen no improvement.

I'm sorry to hear this about your Yogi. Does the vet know why he got vasculitis? I understand they have to use the prednisone to suppress the immune system but i'm not very familiar with this disease. What does the vet have to say as far as when Yogi should be seeing some improvement?

I have no experience with this , but reading up on it states meds and prognosis depends on the underlying issue causing the imflamation. Does the vet know the cause for Yogi getting it?
