Thanks for the tips everybody! Daisy is getting patchy on her back, and I came looking for topical treatments. I never would have thought it was her food, but I just switched her to chicken and rice instead of lamb and rice (because they were out of the lamb, and I was desperate.) I'm switching her back and trying the Gold Bond.

I don't think you should feel bad about not noticing the hot spot ... from reading the experience that [MENTION=2]desertskybulldogs[/MENTION] had with Tidus a hot spot seems to come very quickly and get bad very quickly!!!

It is interesting to hear what people are saying about chicken though.... we are coming to the end of a bag of Fromm Chicken and although there are no skin problems or hot spots I do think that Maggie's face smells a lot more. We've already decided to skip the chicken flavour from now on because of that!!
