About 4 weeks we were moving we had a lot of boxes and we think that may have up set him to the point of having a small seizure it lasted about 20 seconds. He was stiff and had a lot of drool.when he got done he seems to be back to normal ,while he is have his seizure I hold him until he is done. Two weeks later he had another, but this one was different he did not fall stiff
he was very restless and drank a lot of water.and see to be looking for something or a place to hide. Well the the move went very well he was find in the car for 1080 miles nothing we even stayed in a hotel. We have been in our place for about a week and knuckles was fine until today.
He had two seizures today one about 8:00 pm and another one at about 11:00. I took him to my vet and he thought it was stress ,but I'm starting to get worried. I'm in California and don't trust just any vet, any body have any good ideas.

image.jpgHi Linda and Ed. I'm so sorry you're going through this with Knuckles. I don't have any experience with seizures or their causes, but hopefully a member who does will come along soon to give you some advice. EB's are very sensitive and can be quite OCD, especially when it comes to changes. They don't like things to be added, moved or rearranged, and even small things can cause them stress. It can take a while for them to adjust to these changes, especially a major move. Hopefully his seizures are stress related, in which case they should resolve themselves with time, once he settles in and gets used to his new home, smells and surroundings. Give him some time, but watch him closely, write down the dates and times of his seizures, and document the severity, length, and any other symptoms you notice. Keep a log of his seizures so you can show it to his vet if needed. It also helps to take a video of the seizure when he has one, you can use your cell phone or I-Pad to tape it, that way your vet can see what happens during his seizure. I hope his seizures are just stress related and they go away. If they continue or get worse, I would take him back to the vet. Please keep us updated on how he's doing. I hope he feels better soon. Sending you love, hugs and prayers for you and Knuckles.

Oh dear, I am so sorry. We had a Pug that had seizures...The are no fun and scare the living crap out of you. One thing if you witness, make sure the airway/breathing is maintained.

I will keep Knuckles and family in thoughts and prayers.

I would get him to a vet, any vet immediately. Ruthie is epileptic and i once lost her to a seizure and had to rush her to the vet.
Ruthie only lost her bowels once but once is enough. She is on phenobarbital twice a day. Any vet at this point will help you, at least something for now to get it under control until you find a bully specialist.
Please let us know how he is doing and what the vet says!

I am not familiar with vets in the Redding area but like bullmama mentioned, UC Davis is definitely one of the leading experts in vet medicine in the country. Can you possibly take Knuckles there to get evaluated? Please let us know...

@Ednosekjr If your boy is having seizures that often, he needs to see a vet right away. Not holding pee or poop is common with seizures-especially Gran Mal. If you take him to a nearby vet-at least he can prescribe pheno barbitol until you find a good EBD vet somewhere near your area. Praying for you and your Doggie. As Vikinggirl said,
video if you are able.

Take him to a vet. These are cluster seizures! Definitely have your camera out but right now any vet will do. If you take him to ER vet it may be more expensive. But they also may be able to help you find a good neurologist or bulldog specialist. You need to make sure you take him in though because his temperature can be rising and that can potentially be harmful. They will do tests on him to determine if it is epilepsy type seizure or a low blood sugar type seizure.
