It is hard to say what to place on it without seeing it. you state it is a dry patch, but like a burn.... could be a number of things and each would have a different treatment. Anyone available to hold him while you snap a quick pic? I am hesitant to give advice on an ointment or cleaner without seeing the spot

It can be from any number of things but if the scratching continues it will most likely create a seeping sore as it did on my bully. There are several things you can try to relieve the itch in the area by using coconut oil or even Gold Bond spray or powder. However, this will only provide relief of the symptoms as you will need to identify what is causing it to begin with whether it is a harness, bug bite or even allergies.
