It was interesting..not focusing specifically on bulldog palate surgery...more of a 20minute segment on how man has changed the breed standard of many purebred dogs over the years to win shows and competitions at the expense of their health. The english bulldog being the poster child for breeding gone awry.
There was a great article last year in the NY Times called "can The English Bulldog be Saved" that addressed the same thing. A higher value is being placed on the appearance as opposed to its well being.

That's exactly what it was and that's the big reason I think so many bullys are in rescues all over the country. This is the link to the times article if anyone needs it.

I finally watched this last night. It was so fascinating and the response from akc was sad and hilarious. It's a must watch, not just for the bulldogs, but for all breeds.
